Dimapur, June 2 (EMN) : A seminar on Human Trafficking was held in Tuli town in Mokokchung district on May 31. The event was organized by the Nagaland State Commission for Women in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, updates on Friday said.
With this programme the Nagaland State Commission for Women concluded their project of holding 21 programs on said subject throughout the state which began on March 21 this year. The commission issued a note on Friday offering updates about said event. ‘Wherever the programs were held the public acknowledged the importance of disseminating awareness about this social evil and appreciated the efforts of the commission towards raising the consciousness of all the stake holders to work in a concerted manner to eradicate this menace from society,’ the note stated.
