Dimapur, JUNE 2: Reacting to news item published in local dailies on May 4, Konyak Naga army officers and senior national workers asked Gen.(Rtd).Kholi Konyak, former army chief of NSCN/GPRN under S.S.Khaplang leadership to give ‘honest response’ to a number of queries.
MIP NSCN/GPRN in a press note asked as to how NSCN split in the year 1988 and who was responsible for it.
“The seven higher ranking Tangkhul national workers whom you killed during the crisis are with you today or have you joined Muivah alone without them?; What was the reason behind the killings of Mr.Pevao Dy.Kilonser, Wanghai Secretary Konyak Region and Kaisa, VG Post Commander Laonyu Village, Lage?; Why did you suspend Sgt.Maj.Yathrae Chamlam, defence commander for not killing Muivah?; Did not you personally ordered to kill Muivah? And dispatched a mission (operation) led by Capt.Thongo, Lt.Chingtok, 2nd Lt.Kainyam and the group?; Did not you ordered in the year 1989 that even the family members of any Konyak joining hands with Muivah shall not be spared?; Did not you retorted in the year 1996, I will never meet Muivah, I heard he is in heaven so when did he descended? This happened when Muivah wrote you a letter to meet and discuss on the Naga problem; and till 2011, the Konyak Naga national workers respected and trusted you a lot, but now we have no regards as to where and why you have gone astray? Desert and disappear as you would but don’t try to interfere in our struggle and divide the Konyaks further.”
NSCN/GPRN recalled how Kholi reminded them not to leave S.S.Khaplang, with or without him. “We will continue to work for the Nagas under S.S.Khaplang leadership.”
