Dimapur, August 15 (EMN): The NSCN/GPRN has strongly condemned the joint raid of the 23 Assam Rifles and 14 Sikh Regiment at the Zeilad Zeliangrong Region office on the ‘joyful day of Nagalim Independence Day’ and when GoI and the Nagas are so close to the final solution at the highest level.
Meanwhile, the NSCN/GPRN extended its appreciation and gratitude for the timely intervention of Rongmei Council Manipur; Liangmei Council Manipur; Zeliangrong Union, ZLR Baudi, TML; ZRL Meipui Phuam and the public of the Longmai (Noney), Awangkhul, Khongsang, Raengpang and Nungba. “Their courage and selfless sacrifice again reaffirmed that Nagas’ political problem is a national issue” the MIP added.
It also appreciated the efforts of the district administration for bringing normalcy within the region.
Further, NSCN/GPRN, requested the concerned to release the arrested regional staff and confiscated arms, office files and other related matters immediately to the Ceasefire Monitoring Cell Office to avoid chaos.
