Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Reaffirming its stand on national Ahza and party discipline, NSCN (R) has terminated the service of its defence kilonser-cum-UT-I supervisor, Khekato Kinny, and the deputy kilonser, Chungshi Longkumer, with immediate effect in order to let the law take its own course and facilitate a ‘free and fair’ trial.
The two officials were terminated following an extraordinary emergency joint council meeting held on August 28 on the directive of its president, stated NSCN (R) statement through its MIP on Wednesday.
Making its stance clear that it would neither condone nor abet crime or criminals, NSCN (R) along with every other Nagas has regretted the incident that happened on August 16 which took away one precious life and sympathised with the aggrieved family members.
While reaffirming its earlier stance, NSCN (R) stated that it would take action upon any NSCN (R) member irrespective of ‘rank, files or status.’
Also testifying that the other three persons namely Tali, Nungsang and Vishiho do not belong to the organisation, NSCN (R) stated that it cannot decide upon them and left to the prerogative of the law enforcing agency(s) and competent authorities to enforce action on them.
