NSCN (R) pays courtesy call on new CFSB chairman

Dimapur, Oct. 12 (EMN): The NSCN/GPRN (Reformation), on Monday had a courtesy meeting with the new chairman of the Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB)/CFMC, Lt. General (Retd.) Amarjeet Singh Bedi, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, VSM (Rtd.) at Chümoukedima Police Complex.

Bedi, who is an experienced man and is familiar and well versed with the Nagas as well as other Northeast issues, took charge of the office on September 28, an update stated.

Since it was a courtesy call, no agenda were discussed, but both parties agreed in principle to continue maintaining the sanctity of the ceasefire ground rules, it informed.

Both the parties also exuded optimism and confidence to work out things in co-ordination that pertains to any of ceasefire issues and to keep check and sort out any inadvertent errors that may arise from both the security forces and the NSCN.

The NSCN(R) was represented by CFSB supervisor Dr. Amento Chishi and members Amento Chophi, Muzuvoyi Puro, Mughato Chophi and Inaki Zhimomi.
