NSCN (Khango) resolves to hold talks with GoI

DIMAPUR — Khango-led NSCN/GPRN has endorsed to start political negotiation with the Government of India as a separate entity in consultation with the Naga people and all the stakeholders in the larger interest of the people.

The decision to this effect was taken during a two-day National Tatar Hoho (NTH) session held on February 21 and 22 at its Thamsao designated camp in Mon district.

“As per the agendas listed and introduction in the session discussed and thoroughly deliberated that passed on the second day. The two day proceedings saw remarkable discussion on various issues pertaining to national affairs. The house unanimously adopted several important resolutions and bills passed that includes starting of political talks with the  Government of  India (GoI) as separate entity in consultation with the Naga people and all the stakeholders,” the statement read.

It also resolved to strengthen and focus on regions and sub-regions issues besides strengthening robust ties with NSCN/GPRN allies based on national interest of the Nagas.

The meeting further unanimously endorsed Lieut. Gen (retired) Khango Konyak as the chairman/ president and Hokato Vusshe as the general secretary/ ato kilonser of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagaland for six years.

Meanwhile, Viniho Kiho, the hoho speaker, expressed gratitude to all the members for extending full co-operation in conducting the business.
