NSCN (K) workers held in Arunachal

Dimapur, Feb. 8 (EMN): Security forces have arrested two suspected overground workers of the NSCN (K) from Kheranf Bisa village in Arunachal Pradesh on February 7. The two cadres were arrested by the combined team of Changlang battalion of the Assam Rifles and the army during an operation basing on specific intelligence inputs. The two cadres were identified as Dumai Singpho and Chojagam Singpho. A security forces press release stated that the over ground workers of NSCN (K) were arrested while trying to terrorise and attempting extortion in Kherang Bisa village. The security forces recovered brown sugar worth INR 1 lakhs, cash amounting INR 56,860 and other incriminating evidence. The release stated that the over ground workers had been actively supporting the outfit, providing administrative support, covertly carrying out extortion, and also peddling drugs for the group.
