NSCN (IM) issues ‘directives’ on local union

THE NSCN (IM) has issued what it asserted are “directives on Doyang” to “look into the complete implementation of the GPRN’s order on land owners’ union.” A press release received here today from a “tatar” and “public relation officer” of the group said the “GPRN has taken serious note of the acts of defying of the same order by the writers” and has warned against ‘breach of the order.’ According to the press release, appended by “tatar” O Mozamo Ngullie, the armed group has issued “directives” to “to look into the complete implementation of the GPRN’s order on Land Owners’ Union, Doyang Hydro Electric Project.” The organization has said that its “order” is “final and binding as the electoral verdict was fully justified by all related documents of evidences.”
Executive members “who have failed to take cognizance of the GPRN order and had failed till date to comply with it are hereby directed to immediately abstain from defying the same order to avoid further necessary action,” the NSCN (IM) said.
The 17 DHEP affected village councils are “requested” to take necessary action to ensure that their selected executive members and the land owners hailing from their respective villages comply with the order.
“The authorities at DHEP, Doyang & NEEPCO LTD, Shillong, are requested to comply with the same order and to take up all related official matters with the authorized and legitimate union office bearers and to refrain from committing any act/ acts that/ those might be termed as breach of the said order,” the NSCN (IM) said. It has also sought “assistance and co-operations” from all “to ensure conducive working atmospheres at Doyang.”
The NSCN (IM) claimed that the directive has been issued “to usher in peace and tranquility at Doyang as such non compliance with the same shall be viewed as deliberate obstructions to the GPRN’s order on LOU and shall be seriously viewed and shall invite appropriate action.”
The armed group asserted that “God has gifted the people with the project” and the GPRN is “compelled to correct the present negative factors/concepts which are hindering in the peaceful and smooth functioning of the union and DHEP/NEEPCO thereby depriving the needy displaced people.”
The NSCN (IM) has asked all the individual land owners, village councils, the public in general of Zunheboto and Wokha districts and DHEP/ NEEPCO authorities for their kind co-operations to join hands in transforming the project into better place.”
