NSCN (IM) delegation meets Mishra
DIMAPUR — The eight-member delegation of the NSCN (IM) led by General Secretary Th. Muivah met with the government of India’s interlocutor for Naga peace talks, AK Mishra on Monday.
The NSCN (IM) team reached the national capital on August 18 to resume talks with the representatives of the Indian government in the hope of hammering out the difference in connection with the vexed Naga political issue and arrive at a permanent settlement.
A reliable source told Eastern Mirror that the Monday’s meeting was just an informal one between Th. Muivah and Mishra.
It added that the actual formal talks are yet to begin and will be held but the date and time have not been fixed yet.
It may be recalled that three rounds of meetings were held between the NSCN (IM) team led by its Collective Leadership, Rh Raising and the GoI officials. It was informed that they deliberated on issues related to competences in connection with the Naga political issue but no specific matters were discussed due to other urgent engagement of the central government.
