Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): the NSCN (IM) today strongly condemned a raid carried out by the 32 Assam Rifles at the residence of the its 'Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Education', Joseph Thongthong in the early morning July 24 at Diphupar B Khel, Dimapur. AN MIP press release received here today, while condemning the raid, stated that the Assam rifles personnel 'came along with masked men and two women army personnel and a Nagaland policeman from West Police Station'. the raiding party entered the compound by climbing over the wall and forcefully ransacked the house 'despite knowing the identity of the home owner', the release stated. Saying that 'no incriminating documents could be found by the raiding team', the release stated that the raiding team frisked 'the women and children too leaving them with a sense of insecurity. In this regard, the MIP stated it is very insensitive on the part of the Indian security forces while the Indo-Naga peace talk is going in New Delhi at the highest level. It also questioned the illogical conduct of the Indian army when the Nagas expecting the fruition of the peace talks.
