Kohima, Oct. 10 (EMN): The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (IM) has cautioned that no one should comment on the Indo-Naga political talk results in an equivocal manner and jump to conclusions when the matter is under negotiation with all seriousness and sincerity.

The group claimed that it had come across “misleading statements” on social media that the “Government of India has accepted the Naga flag and the Yehzabo to signify the Naga political identity and sign the Naga solution at the earliest”.

“As a matter of fact, when nothing is official yet on these sensitive issues, no wild conjecture should be made out of the Indo-Naga political talks. Anything official on the talk outcome will be issued by the MIP”, the group stated in a ‘note of caution’, issued on Sunday.

It went on to add that ‘it is understood that the focus is on the contentious issues of the Naga national flag and the Constitution (Yehzabo), the misdeeds of some unscrupulous persons are floating on social media groups’, the group claimed, and that such comments would only dampen the atmosphere of the Indo-Naga political talks.

‘It is heartening to see that the Indo-Naga political talk has picked up the pace after nearly two years gap. GOI representative led by former special director of IB, Akshaya Kumar Mishra, and the NSCN talk team led by General Secretary Th Muivah are leaving no stone unturned to find a way out of the imbroglio, it stated.

“Till then no one should comment on the Indo-Naga political talk results in equivocal manner and jump to conclusion when the matter is under negotiation with all seriousness and sincerity”, the group added.
