DIMAPUR — United Sangtam Region (USR) of the NSCN (IM) has imposed total ban on the sale of illicit drugs and other intoxicant substances within its jurisdiction.
The ban was imposed after observing that many government officials were found neglecting their official duties due to indulgence in intoxicating substances. It added that no shops, other than pharmacies, would be allowed to open on Sunday.
NSCN (IM) under USR has also taken strong exception to irregularities of government officials in attending the office, which has cause immense inconveniencies to the public.
It further cautioned that NSCN (IM) would not allow such practices to continue. It, therefore, urged the concerned persons to be diligent in their assigned duty.
