Dimapur, June 16 (EMN): Drawing attention to the reaction of cross section of people and groups on the power of chairman of Pan Naga Hoho (PNH), the NSCN (IM) stated that the topic does not warrant wild speculation stating that it is still in incubation stage and one need not go for panic reaction.
An NSCN (IM)’s statement through its MIP stated that such a subject of critical importance that concerns the Nagas is something that wouldn’t be processed in a damning hurry.
“When the Pan Naga Hoho, as conceived by GOI and mutually discussed and accepted by NSCN taking into consideration the necessity to have such umbrella set up for the larger unity and welfares of the Nagas living in different regions passed through the critical stage of political scrutiny, it would naturally come out in the open,” the statement read.
Stating that PNH does not undermine any democratic political institution as perceived by others, it stated such widely diffused views were unfounded.
“The irony of the situation is apparent to everyone. Things are moving too slow. However, the Pan Naga Hoho when concretised will take into account the social, cultural, literature, identity and interests of the Nagas. Till then the less fuss made about it the better,” it added.
Meanwhile, NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of V Seiba from Shepoumaramth region, who passed away on June 16 after a brief illness. An update from the organisation stated that he had served the Naga nation under NNC since 1963 and later joined NSCN on November 22, 2017, with full dedication and loyalty. It stated that he was designated as Khapur under Shepoumaramth region.
It further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to grant peace to the departed soul.
