NSCN disclaims seizing contractors’ equipments

Armed group NSCN/GPRN has disclaimed that it had not ‘commissioned’ any act to seize equipment and machineries of Vilalie Khamo and his contract partners on February 12 in Mon district.
The group asserted that the act could have been by vested individuals to “tarnish the image” of the organization.
“The NSCN/GPRN disowns claims of purported seizure of road construction equipments and machineries belonging to Vilalie Khamo and partner on 12th feb.2015 at Sheanghah Village, Mon district,” the underground orgnazitaion stated in a note issued on Friday.
“It is hereby clarified that, the competent higher authority of NSCN/GPRN did not commission such action against any firm engaged in developmental activities of the community.” The NSCN faction asserted that “unwarranted seizure of company’s machineries might have been masterminded at individual’s selfish capacity with ulterior motive to tarnish the image of NSCN/GPRN.”
Nonetheless, the not assured that “firm action shall be initiated against any NSCN member if found involved in any manner.”
