NRFC will meet Nitsu Yan Football Club in the Lotha Football Championship 2026 final on February 7 at Public Ground, Wokha.

WOKHA — NRFC and Nitsu Yan FC will meet in the final of the 15th Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2026 after both teams won their respective semifinals at Public Ground, Wokha, on Friday.
In the first semifinal, NRFC defeated Tsumang FC 2–1 to book their place in the title clash. NRFC scored in the opening minute through Nyanthung and extended their lead in the 78th minute with a goal from Zuthungo. Tsumang FC pulled one back in the 79th minute through Chumlanthung, but could not find an equaliser.
The second semifinal saw Nitsu Yan FC register a convincing 4–0 victory over Yon Sporting Club. Zaremo opened the scoring in the 17th minute, followed by Ayenmongba, who netted twice in the 41st and 68th minutes. Yiben Ezung added the fourth goal in the 78th minute to seal the win.
The first semifinal was graced by Vungathung Murry, president of WDCC&I, as match patron, while the second match was attended by Nzano Kikon, deputy chairperson, in the same capacity.
The final between NRFC and Nitsu Yan FC will be held on February 7 at 10 am at Public Ground, Wokha. The match will be graced by Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe, NCS (Retd.), MLA, Government of Nagaland, as special guest, and K. Neibou Sekhose, AIFF executive committee member and president of the Nagaland Football Association, as special invitee of the closing ceremony.
