NRC felicitates best-performing students in self-defence class
Under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, District Administration Kohima.
DIMAPUR — Nagaland Resource Centre (NRC), in collaboration with the Kohima district administration and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Kohima, felicitated the best-performing girl students in self-defence class under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) on Thursday.
The self-defence class was launched by Kohima district administration, in collaboration with Performing Art with Fitness (PAWF) and DHEW on the theme “Invest in girl’s right: Our leadership, Our wellbeing” at TM Government Higher Secondary School and Dr. N Kire Higher Secondary School, an update from NRC stated.
Speaking at the felicitation programme, which also marked the culmination of a self-defence class, Khriezotuolie Chase, NRC programme manager, lauded the efforts of the district administration for the initiative and taking forward the cause of the girl child.
While acknowledging the district administration for collaborating with the NRC, he emphasised the need for such programmes in the future as well.
It mentioned that NRC is focused on adolescent development and education for both boys and girls. It also focuses on empowering persons with disabilities.
