Training on NQAS for AEFI surveillance held in Mokokchung

DIMAPUR — Mokokchung division of Health department organised a one-day training on National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) after event following immunisation (AEFI) surveillance on May 31 at Sangtemla ward community hall.
The training was conducted with an aim to familiarise the healthcare workers with the universal immunisation programme (UIP) and AEFI surveillance system at district and sub-district levels; to understand structures, tools and roles of different stakeholders in the implementation process of QMS for AEFI surveillance and develop a district implementation plan for QMS in AEFI surveillance.

An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mokokchung, stated that Dr. Longrikichu from UNICEF and Dr. Takosunep, DPO UIP & RCH, were the resource persons of the training.
It added that senior medical officers, medical officers, CHO, LHV, GNM, ANM, vaccinators, BPM, and BAC attended the training.
