NPP Nagaland undertakes humanitarian activities

Dimapur, Aug. 15 (EMN): Nagaland unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) undertook various humanitarian activities in the past three days as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

An update from the party stated that its minority cell (non-tribal) distributed food and other house building materials to the fire victims of Master Colony and to the patients of Dimapur District Hospital on August 12.

In another programme, the state NPYF (youth wing of NPP) also visited some rehabilitation centres in and around Dimapur including Shalom Rehabilitation Centre, Bethesda Youth Welfare Centre and Life Change Mission Centre on August 13 and 14. During the visit, the team interacted with the inmates and the staff and also distributed food items and other essential items.

Meanwhile, the state women wing also conducted various activities at the IHSDP Urban Complex in Burma Camp, Dimapur, on August 14. The women wing conducted free oral health screening and awareness camp, planted tree sapling and distributed food items to the residents of the complex.

It further informed that NPP Nagaland would conduct such activities at all the district levels including visits to all the district jails on August 15.
