NPP Nagaland extends support to party candidates of Manipur

Dimapur, Feb. 18 (EMN): A team of National People’s Party (NPP), Nagaland State, comprising of 14 officials led by the state president, Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, who is also one of the star-campaigners appointed by the NPP Party High Command, undertook a five-day visit to Manipur as a sign of solidarity towards the NPP candidates from various constituencies across the state.

During the visit, the team covered some major constituencies, wherein they met and campaigned for the NPP candidates. A total of 39 NPP candidates of Manipur have qualified, out of the initial list of 41 candidates, to contest from major constituencies of the state, an update informed.

NPP Nagaland thanked the deputy chief minister of Manipur, Yumnam Joykumar Singh and all the party leaders and candidates for their encouragement and hospitality rendered during the visit, while the Manipur NPP team expressed their gratitude towards the Nagaland team for initiating the visit, which the former considered benevolent from party members of another state.

Meanwhile, the NPP team from Nagaland as well as the local leaders and candidates of NPP Manipur shared their thoughts on the visions, policy, ideology, progress and rapid growth of the party.

Underscoring the importance of cultivating good relations with their neighboring counterparts, the Manipur team assured its support to Nagaland team during the upcoming 2023 elections of Nagaland as it has been the endeavor of NPP to unite the northeast region through its mission and vision of ‘One Voice, One North East!

It may be mentioned that at present, Manipur has three major contending parties with highest nominations in the fray for the upcoming Assembly Election viz. BJP, Congress and NPP, out of which NPP is seen as one of the major trend-setters and the party is hopeful for a decisive win in most of the constituencies during the upcoming Assembly Election.
