NPP frontal organisations distribute relief to victims of recent fire tragedy at Burma Camp in Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — In a gesture of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility, the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF) and the National People’s Women Front (NPWF), frontal organisations of the National People’s Party (NPP), carried out a relief distribution programme for families affected by the recent fire tragedy at Burma Camp (East Block), Dimapur.
In a joint press release, the NPYF and NPWF stated that the unfortunate incident severely impacted the lives of 75 households, affecting a total of 622 families, leaving many without basic necessities.
In response, the NPYF and NPWF jointly distributed clothes, relief aid, and essential commodities to help ease the immediate hardships faced by the victims.
“The initiative was undertaken in the true spirit of giving, unity, and humanitarian service, reflecting the NPP’s commitment to standing with the people during times of crisis.

“Members of NPYF and NPWF interacted with the affected families, offering words of encouragement and assuring them of continued support,” it stated.
Leaders from both fronts emphasised that such efforts are not merely acts of charity but a moral responsibility to support fellow citizens in distress.
They also appreciated the resilience and courage shown by the affected families during this difficult time.
“The NPYF and NPWF reiterated their commitment to community welfare and appealed to all sections of society to come forward and extend help, reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity,” the release added.
