Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Underlining that Nagas needed good and upright leaders at the moment, the state president of National People’s Party (NPP), Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, affirmed that the party would endeavours to bring about rapid transformation in every sphere of the Naga society.
Dr. Ahoto stated this during a consultative meeting-cum-picnic of the NPP Kohima unit on October 24. He has made a clarion call to the entire rank and file of the party to bring about positive transformation in the state through NPP. He categorically stated that the word ‘change’ has become redundant and real change was a distant dream.
He reiterated that the only thing that sets them apart from other political parties was the quality of its leaders and members. He has further lauded capable leadership of Dr. Keviseto Kintso, convenor of Kohima district.
Dr. Keviseto Kintso delivered the welcome address, while others who spoke in the meeting included district vice president, Dr. Ketholezo; district general secretary, Meshenlo Kath, and NPYF Kohima president, Kelengoto Soleho.
An update from NPP stated that than 100 members from both the state as well as the district unit attended the programme.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Kaqheto, general secretary (IPR) of NPYF Kohima.
