Dimapur, March 31 (EMN): The president of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, K Therie said that the NPF’s decision to support KL Chishi, the Congress candidate for Lok Sabha, has not only strengthened secular forces but also the demand for removal of the Citizenship Bill “and the foremost important issue to carry forward the peace talks for a final solution.”
In a statement issued on Sunday, Therie termed the NPF’s decision as ‘magnanimous and above political boundaries.’ According to him, the battle is “between the ideological forces of communal Hindutva and secularism and the freedoms it offer.”
The Congress, he said, is “standing together to protect our faith and identity and to carry forward political negotiations for solution at the earliest.”
