Dimapur, Sep. 14 (EMN): The central youth wing of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) on Wednesday issued a show cause notice to one Abemo Naga, for alleged fake news posted by the latter in Facebook page ‘The Nagas.’

The youth wing alleged that Abemo had, in his post, falsely accused NPF secretary general, Achumbem Kikon, of lodging an FIR at Sanis Police Station regarding Akuk village incident on September 11, 2022, thereby “misinforming/ misleading the general public about the situation with no verifiable facts or sources.”

“This wild and fabricated allegation was made with an intention that such imputation will harm and tarnish the reputation of our Secretary General and NPF party,” it stated.

The NPF youth wing asked Abemo to clarify the unfounded allegation and offensive post within seven days of issuing the notice and meet the undersigned in person at the NPF, CHQ, with written apology.

“Failing to do so, the NPF central youth wing will take its course of action,” it cautioned.
