Dimapur, Feb. 6 (EMN): A dedication programme for NPF intending candidate from 38 Wokha assembly constituency, Dr. R Chumben, was held at Wokha village play ground on February 6 with the participation of thousands of supporters.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. R. Chumben Murry has appreciated all the supporters and well-wishers for their presence and urged to be more pro-active to ensure victory of the party.
The invocation prayer was pronounced by Chiben Humtsoe, associate pastor WVBC, while the welcome address was delivered by S Yanphamo Tungoe, chairman WVC.
Dedication prayer was offered by O Thungbemo Kikon, pastor WVBC, while special song was presented by Nchumbemo & Co and the vote of thanks was delivered by Mhonthung Erui, president NPF Wokha village unit. The benediction prayer was said by Lumchio Murry, deacon WVBC.
NPF 38 Wokha AC clarifies
The Naga People’s Front (NPF) 38 Wokha A/C has refuted the press statement made by Woshomo Pius Ezung, president JD(U) 38 Wokha, on the election related violence in Wokha town and the subsequent FIR lodged against the damage of vehicles and involving the NPF intending candidate.
On the contrary, the NPF 38 Wokha AC president Yiben Tungoe and general secretary Thungbemo Tsanglao have accused the rival group of planting IED at Wokha village Eloe Hoho office kitchen on February 4 which was discovered before explosion.
To substantiate its claim, NPF stated that the Wokha village council had lodged an FIR at Wokha Police Station on the same day.
It also accused the supporters of rival group of attempting to murder Renbithung on January 18.
The NPF 38 Wokha AC has appealed to all right thinking citizens to condemn such act of terrorism.
