Dimapur, Feb. 15: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has asked all government employees to immediately desist from what it stated was “this political agitation against the government” or face dire disciplinary repercussions. A press release from the party on Wednesday stated: “The NPF party has been keeping a close watch over the involvement and participation of some government servants in the ongoing agitation imposed by some few individuals posing as volunteers of JCC and NTAC. It has been confirmed that some of the government servants are even funding the agitation which is unbecoming of government employees. “The party is quietly observing and recording the involvement of these government servants who are participating and contributing money, materials and other logistical support to wage war against the government. The compiled record will be submitted to the government shortly demanding that stern action be taken against those involved (government servants) in the protest.” It also stated that since the public has slowly come to realize that some have been already convinced by politicians with money, they have now instructed the tribe hohos to collect money from various individuals from their own respective communities/tribes. “Anyhow, why should individuals contribute anything to an agitation which is making the lives of the public miserable? This initiative is nothing but a cover-up to show that they are clean and are not being patronised. This is how this so-called JCC and NTAC have been fooling the people of Nagaland thus far,” it claimed.
