NPF Manipur unit conducts political awareness programme
Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Naga people’s Front (NPF) conducted a one-day political awareness programme at Purul Rasha hall on Oct. 16. It was organised by 47-Karong A/C Senapati Manipur.
Manipur MLA and Chairman of Hill Areas committee (HAC), K Leishiyo in his address, highlighted the benefit and importance of HAC bill 2021 and stressed on the need to introduce the bill in the state assembly for the benefit of hill people in Manipur, an update informed.
It stated that the general secretary of NPF central and assistant in-charge of NPF Manipur state unit, Neiko Lhousa reaffirmed the party motto — ‘Fide non armies’. He emphasised the need for peaceful conduct of election and to win it in good faith.
NPF working President Manipur state unit, Robert T Maram briefed the gathering on the genesis of NPF and the birth of NPF in Manipur state, while the president of NPF women wing Manipur state unit, K Henya Lirina, former MLA and advisor Manipur state unit, Dr. V Alexander Pao, former chairman of ADC and leader of NPF Senapati, M L Markson, and President of NPF Senapati division, Th Soni Matthew also addressed the gathering and stressed on the need to strengthen the party, it said.
Meanwhile, the programme was attended by NPF Senapati executives, all ADC members of NPF Senapati, president and secretary of 48-Mao A/C and 49-Tadubi A/C, Karong Kendra village authority, youth president and secretary, women president and secretary, social workers/public leaders and well wishers.
