NPF legislator raises maximum number of questions in assembly

Naga People’s Front (NPF) MLA Samuel Risom of Ukhrul assembly constituency has raised maximum number of questions not only among the MLAs from hill districts but among all the 60 MLAs in the ongoing assembly session which was extended till March 16.
In the five days sitting that took place on February 25,26,27,March 2 and 3, Ukhrul MLA raises 6 starred questions and 11 unstarred questions. Risom was followed by Trinamool congress MLAs Kh Joykishan of Thangmeiband assembly constituency and Th Shyamkumar with 10 questions each including 7 starred and 3 unstarred questions.Congress MLAs Laishram Nandakumar of Uripok constituency stood third with 4 starred questions while Dr N Bijoy of Khurai constituency and Dr I Ibohalbi of Oinam consitituency raises 3 starred questions each. They were followed by Nationalist Congress Party MLA L Ibomcha of Keishamthong constituency with 2 starred and 4 unstarred questions.
MLA P Brojen of Wangjing-Tentha constituency under Thoubal district,Lok Jana Sakti MLA Karam Shyam of Langthabal constituency in Imphal West district, NPF MLAs Nunglung Victor of Chandel constituency and Alexander Pau of Karong constituency raises 1 starred question each while Trinamool congress MLA O Lukhoi of Wangoi constituency in Imphal West district two unstarred questions.Except these MLAs mentioned above no MLAs in the house of 60 members raises questions during the question and answer session of the assembly session where the state chief minister tabled the tentative budget estimate of Rs 4933.10 crore for the fiscal year 2015-16. But the session has been extended following a state cabinet meeting and subsequent business advisory committee meeting to table the much awaited Bill on Inner Line Permit system on March 13 and 16.
