NPF launches Aonglenden campaign
Dimapur, March 22 (EMN): A civic reception and declaration programme for Toshipokba Longkumer, the Naga Peoples’ Front (NPF) nominee for the 26-Aonglenden assembly constituency by-election, was held at Imlang Aonglenden, Ungma on Friday.
According to an update from the party, the candidate has appealed to the people of Aonglenden assembly constituency to vote for him; reasoning he could “represent their voice and aspirations in the Assembly.”
Toshipokba also assured that if elected, he would fulfil the people’s dreams; and urged them and party workers to guide and support him. He also thanked his supporters for giving him one more chance to stand for the ensuing assembly by-election, saying, “I am standing here to face the by-election with your support.”
The president of NPF Mokokchung division, Moasangba Jamir, while speaking on the occasion, reminded the commitment and pledge of clean election; and appealed the people to take part in the by-election judiciously and give thumbing victory to the NPF candidate.
