NPF “fulfilling promise of youth centric govt”

MINISTER for Youth Resources and Sports Merentoshi R Jamir has claimed that the Naga People’s Front (NPF) is ‘fulfilling its promise of being a youth centric government.’
Speaking during his introductory programme as the legislator in-charge of the NPF central youth wing in Kohima, he said the political movement currently in the country is towards having a youthful government in the next parliamentary elections. However, he said that the NPF-led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is ‘already a youth centric government.’
Therefore, he said that the party youth should work cohesively work towards bringing more friends into the party fold and strengthen the party.
Pointing that youths have been main work force during the last elections to bring back NPF to power, he however called upon the youths not to be complacent but humble themselves for the welfare and uplift of the Naga people in general.
NPF Youth Wing President Kakuto Shohe acknowledged Merentoshi for taking charge of the youth wing while also expressing the hope to take the party to higher levels under his leadership.
Divisional reports were presented by representatives from youth wing of the district unit of NPF.
