Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Naga People’s Front (NPF) has denounced the action of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for curtailing the last phase of campaigning in West Bengal and termed “unfair, unethical, politically biased and uncalled so.” PRO to NPF secretary general, Dr. SR Naresh Ram stated that while other places also witnessed the poll violence during the entire election campaign, no action was taken by ECI except in Bengal, which is the first of its kind in the history of Indian Election. “In this hour of uncertainty, it has cast a shadow of doubt over the ECI for its unprecedented and drastic action taken,” the release stated. Meanwhile, NPF party affirmed its stand with the TMC party in upholding the values of democracy in the greater interest of the nation.
