DIMAPUR — Leader of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu, has condemned the unabated illegal taxation/ extortion particularly to the business community by the various Naga political groups/ anti-social elements and urged the latter to strictly monitor any kinds of anti-social activities that are hampering the growth of Naga society.
Nienu stated that the unabated illegal taxation on the business community is directly affecting the Naga public.
While empathising with the business community to down their shutter to put forth their grievances, he pointed out that it directly affects the public in the day-to-day life to a great extent.
He, therefore, urged the Naga political groups to strictly monitor any kinds of anti-social activities that are hampering the growth and wreaking havoc in the Naga society.
The legislator also appreciated the stand and the directives of the state government issued to tackle all forms of extortion/ illegal taxation towards the business community and have requested the business community to adhere to the directives given by the government authority.
He also urged upon the public and the business community to give their fullest cooperation and support to the government agencies to put an end to the extortion/ illegal taxation culture from the land. Besides, he requested the public and the business community to come forward to report/ file FIR for any such illegal activities that are taking place.
Meanwhile, he appreciated the law enforcing agency of the state government for taking up various means to tackle extortion/ illegal taxation and urged upon the judiciary to cooperate and support the state government and the suffering Naga public and deliver justice for the prosperity of the Naga people.
