Dimapur, Nov. 19 (EMN): A total of 12 Naga People’s Front (NPF) central youth wing (CYW) officials have resigned from the party and joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP).
According to the officials, they have joined NDPP to support the leadership of the state chief minister Neiphiu Rio and the party president Chingwang Konyak.
The officials are Bendangtoshi Longchar, working president NPF CYW and CEC member; Karaibo Chawang, general secretary NPF CYW and PS to former chief minister TR Zeliang; Kiutsumong JK, general secretary NPF CYW and PA to T Torechu, MLA of 60 Pungro-Kiphire and PGC member; Ezanbemo Erui Lotha, general secretary NPF CYW and In-charge of Wokha division youth wing; Er. Luchamba Yim, general secretary NPF CYW In-charge of Tuensang division youth wing; John Kikon, general secretary NPF CYW and in-charge of Dimapur youth wing; Mhao Yanthan, general secretary NPF CYW and member PGC Wokha; L Menlei, secretary NPF CYW In-charge of youth wing Longleng division; T Hopong Yim, secretary NPF CYW Sadar –II Tuensang town; Selicho Sangtam, secretary NPF CYW In-charge of 59 A/C Seyochung-Sitimi; Jangkhokam Hangsing, secretary NPF CYW Ghaspani – II; and Mojungmong S Tikihir, secretary NPF CYW In-charge of 60 AC youth wing, Kiphire.
Meanwhile, NDPP has welcomed the office bearers of the NPF central youth wing led by its working president and 11 others who have resigned from the primary and active membership to support the leadership of the chief minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP president Chingwang Konyak in a function held at ist central headquarters on November 19.
NDPP media and communication committee stated that the decision of those leaders from the NPF central youth wing to join the NDPP would greatly strengthen the party. With the joining of youth leaders into the NDPP fold, the party was confident of taking its policies and programmes forward in the state to greater heights in the days to come.
