The NPF Central Youth Wing in a reply to points raised by Imkong L. Imchen, ‘the so-called spokesperson of the dissident group’ has said that the BJP Nagaland unit has been issuing various contradictory statements on the present crisis and therefore, in order to ascertain the actual position of the central BJP leaders, the President Dr. Shurozelie along with some party functionaries met some of the BJP leaders including Amit Shah, the president of the central BJP, and it was made known to the visiting delegation that the BJP as well as central government is neither interested nor involved to destabilize the NPF-led-DAN government in Nagaland. “Since the BJP high command has informed them of their intention, the President cannot keep it to himself but make it known to the party workers and the general public as so much confusion has been created by the dissident group through their cheap media campaign. Hence, the President has only disclosed the assurance and commitment of the BJP leaders in Delhi and the Prime Minister, which cannot be termed as tracking the BJP leaders and the Prime Minister as claimed by Mr. Imchen.”
“Again there is no question of the door being remain open to all the party man and women to join them when there is no door in their camp. The dissident camp has no door either to open or shut because they formed their own camp by inviting people to enter from ventilation and now trying to jump in from the window to take over the government which of course is not possible in the Indian democracy.”
A statement issued by Press Bureau NPF Central Youth Wing said, the points which the dissident group is harping on again and again is that they are majority. “Woo, from where you proved your majority? If you are in majority why are you scared of going for floor test? Perhaps, in the floor of Sovima camp you are commanding the majority. So try to gain courage and walk up let us prove who is majority in the floor of the house.”
Stating that the disqualification of the three NCP MLAs is purely constitutional matter, it said the speaker has only acted in accordance with the Indian constitution and Imchen is aware that it was a clash between NCP party which has nothing to do with speaker and the NPF party.
The statement reiterated that president Dr. Shurohozelie has never boycotted the visit of Prime minister Narendra Modi but was seated along with the rest of the VIPs when Prime Minister inaugurated the Hornbill festival on December 1. “In fact it he (Imkong) who have boycotted the Prime Minister visit and which he did not attainted the function and thereby, he did not seen Dr. Shurohozelie who is very much present in the function.”
The youth wing challenged Imchen to bring the order from the election commission of de-recognition of Dr Shurohozelie as the president of NPF In any working hours between 9 am - 5pm at the central office Kohima if there is such order from the election commission. Further, the youth wing advised Imchen to desist from false propaganda as the citizens of Nagaland are now fully aware that all is not well in Sovima camp. “Exactly, in a democracy majority will prevail so come out from the Sovima camp and let us prove the majority on the floor of the house.”
