NPF central women wing asks for more women members in CEC

Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): The Naga People’s Front (NPF) central women wing (CWW) held a consultative meeting at the party headquarters in Kohima on Oct. 31 where the party adopted a 5-point resolution, among which, the house decided to request the president of the NPF to accommodate more women members in Central Executive Council (CEC), the highest decision making body of the party.
The central women wing also resolved to support the leadership of NPF president, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and the leader of NPF legislature party, T.R. Zeliang. It also resolved to appeal all the Naga national groups to take part in the peace talks to bring an amicable solution and logical conclusion to the protracted Naga issue.

The house also resolved to convene a consultative meeting with all the divisional women wings. Besides, the meeting resolved to appeal all the NPF party elected representatives, divisional presidents (parent body) and divisional women wings to bring to the knowledge any issue related to ‘women wing’ to the central women wing before it is submitted to the central office.

Meanwhile, the consultative meeting was graced by MLA and legislator in-charge of central women wing, YM. Yollow and MLA Amenba Yaden. Short speeches were delivered by Sano Vamuzo, Advisor, central women wing and Hiano Lam, secretary (central) COB assistant in-charge of NPF central women wing.

The meeting was attended by all the women wing representatives which was conducted under the chairmanship Yanhola, general secretary (adm.), stated the press bureau of the central women wing.
