Dimapur August 08 (EMN): With the ongoing crisis deepening within the NPF the NPF Arunachal Pradesh unit has also decided to chose their side and gave their support to the newly elected interim President and MP Neiphiu Rio.
"A ten member team of leaders and office bearers of NPF Arunachal Pradesh unit called on the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, LS from Nagaland and recently elected interim President, Naga People’s Front (NPF) Mr. Neiphiu Rio today, August 8, 2017 at his residence in Sovima, Diampur, " stated a press release from the media cell.
The visiting team of the party functionaries was led by the Japang Ngodam the vice president and Pawang Lowang, the general secretary of the NPF Arunachal Pradesh unit.
The visiting team were please with the change of guard within the NPF leadership and "congratulated Mr. Neiphiu Rio for being entrusted with the responsibilities of the coveted post of party President, assuring him of their unflinching support".
"Lamenting that there was complete communication cap ever since he (Mr. Rio) left for New Delhi as Member of Parliament, in 2014, they however expressed optimism that things would take a positive turn under Mr. Neiphiu Rio’s leadership," it further stated.
The minister in-charge of NPF Arunachal Pradesh EE Pangteang and former Minister, Nagaland A. Nyamnyei Konyak also attended the meeting.
The MP had arrived Dmapur from New Delhi yesterday and left for Kohima after a brief meeting with the NPF Arunachal team.
