Dimapur, Feb. 26 (EMN): In a major setback for the Naga People’s Front (NPF) under 5 Ghaspani-II assembly constituency, party loyalists, officials along with entire party workers have unanimously resolved to resign from both active and primary membership. The resolution to resign en masse was taken subsequent to its earlier representation submitted to the central office on October 12, 2018. The unit has alleged “unconstitutional, bias, and indifference attitude” meted to the 5 Ghaspani-II AC over the delay to authenticate the AC parallel party set up issue by none other than the last state assembly party official and defeated candidate Dr. Kevingulie Khro. This was stated in joint statement issued by the AC president Vilasielie Nakhro, general secretary (Admn) M Alen Singson, advisor Bendang Longchar, general secretary Adv. Akhotso Kehie, vice president Rokosalie Zhünyü, women wing president Neisiehuno Rino, and vice president Lhingkhonei Kuki, youth wing president Puvilie Zümvü, and advisor Tongpang Ao. The signatories alleged that of all the five assembly constituencies of Dimapur division, four ACs have already been issued approval order on October 29, 2018, from the party central headquarters office, Kohima, for Dimapur division, while for 5 Ghaspani-II AC the issue was kept in abeyance till date without any concrete written approval order and justification from the higher up. The statement added that it had convened an emergency meeting on February 5, 2019, wherein it resolved to request and appeal to the party high command to resolve the AC’s parallel party issue, which went unheeded. With no positive result, the disgruntled officials felt that the sacrifices, contributions and solidarity to the lone and oldest regional party (NPF) have all went in vain and just a waste of their valuable time and effort. In the light of the above stated circumstances, the party officials resolved to dissolve the entire unit under 5 Ghaspani-II AC from the date of this publication. It further appealed not to repeat such treatment to other party workers in future.
