DIMAPUR — Members of Nagaland Police Employees’ Welfare Scheme (NPEWS) resolved to provide micro financing loan to its members with minimal interest return, which would function by the early part of 2024.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its 41st annual general body meeting held on November 17 at Rhododendron Hall in Chümoukedima. A DIPR report stated that the members have resolved to conduct a one-day seminar on NPEWS for all unit dealing assistants of NPEWS.
The members have also decided to confer cash award to eight students of HSLC/ HSSLC toppers of 2023 for children of employees under Nagaland Police department. Besides, it has decided to undertake major renovation/ modernisation of Nagaland Police Transit Camp in Dwarka and Nagaland Police Rest House in Guwahati.
To facilitate the lower ranks of the department on official and medical treatment during their stay at Police House in Guwahati, the society has purchased one Maruti Suzuki Eeco Van for Nagaland Police Rest House, Guwahati.
The meeting was chaired by Joseph Hesso, IGP (Adm) and president of NPEWS. It stated that the DGP of Nagaland, Rupin Sharma; ADGP (L&O), Sandeep M Tamgadge; IGP (INT) Martin Pienyü; and IGP (Vigilance) Imlisunep attended the meeting.
Report further stated that a total of 234 representatives from different units attended the meeting.
