Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): The state-wide ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ programme under the aegis of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) concluded on Friday at Congress Bhavan in Kohima.

‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ was organised to protest against the ‘anti-democracy’ policies of the Modi government, the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and to demand a probe either by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), headed by the Supreme Court or monitored by the Chief Justice of India into the allegations of fraud and stock manipulation against the Adani Group, stated NPCC through its communication department.

Addressing the ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ programme, former NPCC president, K Therie claimed that freedom of expression is being curtailed and added that the entire government machinery is working to save Adani.

Claiming that democracy has collapsed in India, Therie stated that fascism and authoritative acts of the BJP government should be condemned by all.

He further pointed out that Satyagraha is needed to save democracy alleging that the government sitting at the center is bent on weakening democracy.
