The NPCC who have termed the tie up between NPF and BJP as a ‘communal alliance’, have in a release expressed concern on what they express as the sprouting of the seeds of communalism in Nagaland.
Without naming the individuals, the NPPC alleged that ‘communal agents’ are making up the state BJP unit. The party said ‘Modi’s constant rhetoric on so called Gujarat model of development has run out of steam while the nation demands answers for 2002 Gujarat riots which Modi presided over and for which he remains unrepentant till today”.
The release has also been critical of state BJP unit public statement of “communalism like corruption is a non issue in contemporary politics.” The NPCC said this “open admission highlights the fact that the communal forces have nothing new to offer but engage in a politics of spreading sectarian and divisive agenda to polarize the people for electoral gains.”
The party labeled the BJP as communal party borne out of its association with the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak (RSS), which remains its ideological mentor and the final authority even on all its day-today functioning from its Nagpur headquarters.
NPCC also continued to smart over the Lok Sabha candidacy of Chief Minister Rio. The release described Rio as basking in the glory of unity with ‘communal forces’.
The unity, NPCC stated is nothing short of charting an escape route as it comes after plundering the state treasury surfacing in the agitations over non-payment of salaries for months.
Set against this setting, the NPCC made a call for voters in Nagaland to reject the NPF-BJP alliance.
