NPCC to launch crusade against ‘unfaithful’ govt.
Dimapur, Sep. 20 (EMN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) will be launching a crusade on Sep. 25 in Dimapur against the ‘unfaithful government across the state’.
An update from NPCC stated that the party had lost hope in the government to resolve the political issue.
“Congress cannot change the Govt. neither can Congress save Nagaland. Congress can only voice the aspirations of the public. The power lies in the hands of the voters. The people of Nagaland are now considered as a purchasable commodity by the Govt of the day. People fear money and power. People have lost the courage to stand for noble cause, ethnic values and credentials. Congress intends to share the pains and fears that the demography of Nagaland may change in due course of time. We also fear that multiple governance will ultimately bring famine, increase goons, robberies and destroy the moral code. As we continue with corruption, the classification between the haves and the haves not and its disparity will choke the life out of citizens. With frustration, mafias and other organised gang wars will emerge,” read the statement.
It stated the party would crusade across all districts beginning from Sep. 24.
It also appealed to support the crusade through donations and contributions.
“According to law, one is free to donate INR 2000. For higher donation amounts, electoral bonds available with Scheduled Banks can be donated. This is for our fuel and water,” it stated.
