NPCC organises state-level training programme

Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): A total of 110 delegates comprising officials from Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) and representatives from all 12 District Congress Committee (DCC) attended a two-day state level training programme held on January 20 and 21 at Dimapur DCC office complex.

An update from NPCC stated that the training programme on day-one was chaired by its vice president W Akhum Yimkhiung, while the welcome address was delivered by its working president Khriedi Theunuo.

In his presidential address, NPCC president K Therie spoke on the broad spectrum of state and centre politics as well as on the alleged ‘diabolic policy’ of the regional parties in cahoots with BJP in Nagaland.

It stated that a song was also presented by Vivi Yepthomi.

It added that the resource persons Lt. Col. (retired) BS Shekhawat spoke on INC philosophy, policies and path, while Capt. GK Zhimomi spoke at length on failures of the Modi government through a well researched and compiled document brought out by the AICC research department.

On day-two, the training program was chaired by its vice president S Supongmeren Jamir in which the topic on rejuvenating INC at grassroots was delivered by Lt. Col. (retired) BS Shekhawat. It was followed with a talk on organisational structure of INC, upcoming organisational elections and membership drive and polling booth management by its general secretary in-charge of organsiation and training, Capt. GK Zhimomi.

Report also stated that its vice president Alemjongshi Longkumer, brought out his perspectives as a former administrative officer on coordinating with government agencies on election related matters. The final topic on use of social media was delivered by X Chophika Sumi, NSUI president of Nagaland unit.

The two-day training programme concluded with a closing address delivered by K Therie. Participation certificates were handed over to the delegates.
