Nagaland Congress mourns Ahmed Patel’s demise

Dimapur, Nov. 25 (EMN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has mourned the demise of Ahmed Patel, political secretary to AICC president and treasurer, who passed away on November 25 morning.

In a condolence message, NPCC president K Therie lamented that a huge vacuum has been created not only in the AICC but also in the political spectrum of the nation with the demise of Ahmed Patel.

Therie stated that Patel had knowledge of the problems of every state in the nation at his fingertips adding people trusted him for his understanding powers as he had always been able to reach down to the smallest issues as he felt even small matters are important to humankind. Therie also stated he was one of the greatest political analysts in the nation and truly secular, socialist and democratic in all his actions.

He, on behalf of all ranks and files of the NPCC, conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.

In a related statement, the minority wing of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has mourned the demise of Ahmed Patel.

In a condolence message, chairman of NPCC minority wing Rajesh Kumar Sethi has described Patel as a stalwart, legend, trouble shooter, and a true Congress man. He lamented that INC has lost an extraordinary leader whose contribution towards the Congress as well as the nation has been an inspiration to all. He also described Patel as a humble politician, visionary administrator who worked hard for the people and a true flag bearer of INC.

NPCC minority wing conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.

NPCC minority wing appealed to the public to remain vigilant as Covid-19 had claimed two congressmen namely Tarun Gogoi and Ahmed Patel, who were Congress secretaries around same time in the 80s. NPCC minority wing also appeals to the citizens to avoid going to public places unless it is very urgent and maintain social distancing and wear mask.
