NPCC congratulates NDPP-BJP for winning people’s mandate

President of Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, K Therie congratulated the NDPP-BJP alliance for receiving the “absolute mandate of the people”.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Therie said it was “another sad day for all Congressmen, women and well-wishers” for which he apologised ‘for the weaknesses and shortcomings’. NDPP

“In the past five years, despite of our nil presence in the state Assembly, we have been upholding the interests of the people, which we thought were important for Nagaland but we found ourselves to be alone.

“The verdict is also against the civil societies who were protesting for solution and has also weakened Christian society before the world. We gave an election manifesto wherein we have promised to change Nagaland however, this remains rejected by the majority,” he added.
