DIMAPUR — President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), S Supongmeren Jamir, has sought unity in the Naga society starting from the grassroots in order to fulfill the long standing aspiration of the people.

Jamir stated this during an executive meeting of the NPCC and Kohima DCC officials at Congress Bhavan in Kohima on Friday. Jamir has emphasised on the need to have contact with the villages and ward levels in order to strengthen the party. He has called upon the members to have good relationships with everyone at all levels and work for the welfare of the state.

The welcome address was delivered by the president of DCC Kohima, Ketseiyie Mere, while the programme was chaired by the working president of DCC Kohima, Khruvishe Atomu, and an invocation prayer was said by PCC member, Kecha Chüsi. The meeting concluded with a thanks delivered by the vice president of DCC Kohima, N Meren Longchar.
