Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has appointed new District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents for Dimapur, Mon, Phek, and Longleng.
Stating this in a press release, N Yona Konyak, NPCC general secretary (Admn.), stated that the appointment of the new district presidents has the approval of All India Congress Committee (AICC) in reference to June 6 and 7 meeting of NPCC.
NPCC has appointed Tsenthungo Lotha in place of A Bendang Jamir as president of Dimapur DCC and A Bendang Jamir has been appointed as co-opted member of NPCC executive committee. It stated that Bendang would continue to be executive committee member of Dimapur DCC by virtue of being president of Dimapur DCC for more than 365 days.
NPCC has also appointed Hawang T Wangsha in place of Chingwang Konyak as president of Mon DCC, while Chingwang Konyak has been appointed as co-opted member of NPCC executive committee. It added that Chingwang Konyak would continue to be executive committee member of Mon DCC by virtue of being president Mon DCC for more than 365 days.
NPCC also appointed Khosapa Venuh as president of Phek DCC. It stated that Mikha Kenye has been relieved as president of Phek DCC to enable him to take over his assignment as president of Chakhesang Public Organisation.
NPCC further appointed Phuyam P in place of Shamngai Phom as president of Longleng DCC. It stated that Shamngai Phom would continue to be executive committee member of Longleng DCC by virtue of being president of Longleng DCC for more than 365 days.
NPCC has conveyed profound gratitude to all the former DCC presidents for their faithful services rendered towards the party. It also conveyed best wishes to the newly appointed district presidents in their new assignments.
