NPCC alleges Noke-Kaito’s group responsible for turmoil in NPF

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) today rubbished the statement of Noke-Kaito’s group of the NPF. It then alleged that the Noke led NPF is responsible for ‘destabilizing and weakening their own’ NPF party to its lowest point for which ‘they should admit for the turmoil within the party’.
The NPCC reiterated that Congress has nothing to do with the internal turmoil of the NPF, and added that it has only stepped in to stabilize the government and rescue the people from the clutches of political uncertainty created by power and money ‘mongers’ holed up in some ‘luxury resort’ for nearly three months.
A statement issued by Media Cell, NPCC said, “It is plainly hilarious to read the statement of Noke-Kaito group when they are fully responsible for destabilizing and weakening their own NPF party to its lowest point despite huge mandate of 38 seats in 2013 assembly elections. Their frustration is understandable since their prolonged fight for the ‘Cock’ symbol shows no signs of early settlement.”
The NPCC said, “the assembly elections of 2013 gave an overwhelming mandate to the NPF with 38 seats giving third straight term for the NPF led DAN government. However, for the past two years it had been plagued by one crisis after another with financial crisis being the most prominent. Law and order situation deteriorated to the present state of lawlessness and the state government was unable to bring out the works programme for the past two years bringing all forms of developmental works to standstill. With the man responsible for all this mess conveniently leaving his chief ministerial chair to escape as Lok Sabha MP away to Delhi, it was expected that the change of guard will bring different approach to clear up the mess. However, some of the NPF leaders who had all the liberty to loot the state treasury for the past 12 years could not have reconciled with the new dispensation and therefore seems to have resorted to create the present crisis.”
Stating that whether Congress joins the government or not is the prerogative of the Chief Minister and the Congress party, the NPCC said Noke-Kaito group has no business to ‘poke their nose’ when they had already charted a different course. “They should rather appreciate the Congress for saving the government and providing stability at this crucial juncture when communal forces are knocking at our doors to impose their hegemony.”
The NPCC mentioned that till 4th Feb 2015, Noke-Kaito group had approached Congress leaders to support them in overthrowing the government headed by Chief Minister TR Zeliang but since the Congress denied them that opportunity, they are now crying wolf.
“By seeking the support of Congress, didn’t they (Noke-Kaito group) consider the factor of weakening NPF and had the Congress agreed to support them, would they be lamenting the same concern?”
The journey of Noke-Kaito group seems to have reached a dead end with their propaganda churned out from a luxury resort in Dimapur now scoffed by majority of the people who hold them solely responsible for looting the state treasury empty for the past 12 years. Instead of indulging in cheap and malicious propaganda, the statement said.
