NPBCA Silver Jubilee culminates with commitment

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 5

THE silver jubilee celebration of Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association (NPBCA) which commenced on 3rd February at mission compound Chumukedima culminated today with Principal, Oriental Theological Seminary Rev. Dr. Wati Aier as the speaker. The last 25 years will be reminiscence for Nagaland’s police personnel through the love of God and with much more to move ahead.
Delivering message on the topic “Perfect liberation in Jesus”, Rev. Dr Wati acknowledged Jesus to be a historical figure and not a myth who came as a person and lived among us. The only freedom and liberation to be found is in person of Jesus. He also stated that in this world there will be no answer found to queries of fear and worries.
But to be free of these queries, one should seek God and hope in him.
Giving out his message to the police personnel on this auspicious occasion, he called upon them to live in the foundation and identity of God. Adding on he conveyed that though Christ has set us free, freedom is not free as it implies responsibility and identity in Christ must have continuity with determination and challenged upon the congregation of their spiritual legacy with the liberation set by Christ.
Also speaking on the auspicious occasion, Director General of Prisons, CD & HG Nagaland, L.T.Lotha, IPS acknowledged Government to be God’s ordained institution and asserted police to be an imperative actors without which government cannot function or survive.
He also exhorted the police personnel not to be confined only to Nagaland but reach out to the entire nation and make use of the resources as the association has great responsibility in leading the nation; above all to make Christ the head of the church and activities to be useful in our profession and be worthy to the public.
Closing ceremony of the 3 day long celebration was executed by Police Baptist Church (PBC), Mokokchung. Earlier Bible reading and Prayer was pronounced by Former Office Assistant NPBCA, Shoniu and special song by Chumukediam Village Baptist Church. Altogether 805 delegates participated for the silver jubilee celebration which ended on a higher note and commitment.
