NPBCA holds annual general council

DIMAPUR — Nagaland Police Churches Association (NPBCA) held its 35th annual general council in Tuensang town from January 19 to the 21st on the theme “Experiencing God together” (Acts 2: 42-47).

An update from NPBCA stated that the general council was hosted by Police Baptist Church, Tuensang, wherein 177 delegates from 30 Police Baptist Churches attended the programme.

It informed that Rev. HA Zhimomi, NPBCA executive secretary, declared the annual general council opened, while Dr. H Ndang, president of NPBCA, delivered the keynote address during the opening service and Kanchan Kumar Kandpal, superintendent of police, Tuensang, greeted the members on behalf of DEF Tuensang and encouraged them to contribute more towards the uplift of the society.

On the second day, a farewell service in honour of Rev. Limatemsu, former pastor of PBC, Mokokchung, was also held besides conducting business session and presentation of reports. In the evening worship service, Rev. Y Imtiba, USBLA executive secretary, spoke on ‘Experiencing God together in fellowshipping.’

The third day witnessed prayer time, workshop and worship service. It stated that Dr. H Ndang led the morning worship service and Rev. Achu Chang, CBLT executive secretary, spoke on ‘Experiencing God together in ministry.’ It added that M Yanchu Chang, commandant of village guards, also exhorted the gathering.

A workshop was conducted on the topic ‘Church response to substance abuse’ with Tsenbemo R Ngullie and Rev. Achu Chang as the moderator and resource person respectively.

In the last worship service, Rev. HA Zhimomi spoke on ‘Experiencing God together in witnessing.’

The event concluded with the closing act by NPBCA staff.

Meanwhile, NPBCA has expressed gratitude to PBC Tuensang for successfully hosting the 35th annual general council.
