Dimapur, September 9: Commemorating the World Physical Therapy Day, Nagaland Physiotherapists Association (NPA) along with its members visited several traffic police stands on September 8 to create awareness about physiotherapy and distributed goodies and exercise pamphlet (posture/ general exercises).
The awareness programme was based on the theme “Movement for health” and with the suggested message “Add life to years,” thereby highlighting the important role that physical therapists play in healthy ageing.
There was a very good response and feedback from the traffic personals and the free treatment in hospitals, centre and clinic was well received by the patients. Meanwhile, NPA officials have expressed gratitude to the management of different hospitals, centre heads, well wishers and the physiotherapist who provided free treatment in their respective set up by making the programme a grand success.
