Northern Angami-1 T20 Bash: Wins for RS Challengers and Keyake Phezoucha Pirates

Kohima, Nov. 29 (EMN): RS Challengers and Keyake Phezoucha Pirates won their respective league matches during the ongoing 5th edition of the 10th Northern Angami-1 T20 Bash organised by Brotherhood Group played here at the KVC ground, Ziekezou, Kohima village on Wednesday. RS Challengers beat Chedema Strikers by 33 runs in the first match. Chedema Strikers elected to bowl but gave away 172/6 in 20 overs. Nyuyhenlo (43) and Imli (33) were the highest scorers for RS Challengers while bowler Kezhavizo took three wickets in three overs for Strikers. Chasing 173 runs, Chedema strikers managed to score only 123 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Keneiseso contributed 50 runs in 42 balls for Strikers but the team failed short of 33 runs at the end of the match. Imli of Challengers was adjudged as the man of the match. In the second match, Keyake Phezoucha Pirates defeated D Khel United by 62 runs. Keyake Phezoucha Pirates elected to bat first and set a target of 162 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Nipu (29) and Thapusa (22) were the highest scorers for Pirates while Akhrie took two wickets in four overs for United. In reply, D Khel United scored only 100 runs losing nine wickets in 20 overs. Zhapu with 23 runs was the highest scorer for United while Khoseto claimed two wickets in four overs. Nipu of Pirates was awarded as the man of the match.
